The Path to King Pigeon
A 3-part mini series to work on everything you need to master King Pigeon.
1
All In The Hips
This class focuses on opening the hips in both the front and back leg to help your King Pigeon sit lower to the ground and allow the back leg to bend more easily, drawing the foot closer to your body. Grab a strap for this one!
2
Strengthen Your Back Body for Backbends
This class focuses on building strength in the posterior chain of the body - including the glutes, hamstrings and spinal muscles - to help us draw the spine into extension and the backbend this pose demands! You'll need a little wall space and strap for this class.
3
Shoulder + Thoracic Mobility for Flipping the Grip
This class focuses on the movement and mobility required to 'flip the grip', where we hold the foot behind the head. It's all about flexibility in the upper spine and shoulders! You'll need a block, strap and wall space for this class.
